CSA Programs 2025

Hey there. Are you interested in CSAs (Community Supported Agriculture)? Well, you've stumbled into the right blog. A number of our members have great CSA bins on offer all over York Region. Check them out below..

Simpsons Family Farms

Why our box?

We are proud to be a farm family with a rich history of seven generations in farming. This long-standing tradition is a testament to our expertise and dedication to providing the best produce.

Each vegetable in our box is carefully hand-planted and hand-picked exclusively for our farm box. This hands-on approach ensures that every piece of produce meets our high standards for quality and freshness.

Coopers CSA Farm & Maze

We are a diversified farm that offers you, the consumers, the connection to purchase your food directly from the bounty of our fields/gardens, and from the meat we raise on our pastures. This is called Community Supported Agriculture. You, the consumer, has a direct connection to the farm and the farmers that are producing your food. Your subscription helps us buy seeds and materials that we need to grow & raise your food, pay a decent wage to our farm hands that help us get the work done, and provide a living wage to us the farmers. In return, we provided you with the freshest, top quality food, with incredible customer service. Basically, you are hiring us to grow your food for you and your family. (read more on their website)

Elmgrove Collective: Cultivating Opportunities

The benefit for CSA members is a greater quantity of produce- at a lower cost, and a guarantee of the best produce the gardens have to offer. Your support enables small, local farmers to thrive. The cost is $40/ week for 8-10 different items that change weekly. The total is $880 for the season. Membership is based on subscription for the full season (May long weekend up until the Thanksgiving long weekend), and for simplicity and ease, we do not offer membership on a weekly or monthly basis. Shares can be picked up from the farm every Wednesday, between 3-7pm. (more info on their website)

Round The Bend

Wondering if there is a local source of fresh produce this growing season? There is! We are a local York Region, King Township farm, growing fresh vegetables and fruits and supporting other local farms for things we do not grow. It may be winter but we are preparing for the upcoming summer CSA program. Seeds have been purchased, field and greenhouse growing plans have been drawn up and we are getting ready to start a new growing season. Know your farmer, eat local and support local farms, it’s a great way live! (find more on their website)

Newmarket Farmers Market

Newmarket Farmers Market itself doesn't offer a CSA program, but some of their members do. It's a great opportunity to visit a wonderful farmers market with many a variety of wonderful, friendly, vendors. Every Saturday morning, from May through October, Riverwalk Commons in Historic Downtown Newmarket is transformed into a vibrant market space where our community gathers to support local food. Connect with local farmers, enjoy a delicious treat, discover unique artisans and take in some live music while visiting with family and friends.

What a wonderful collection of CSA programs in York Region.
